In Piano for Kids, students are led through a program called the Simply Music Piano method in a pair or in a group.  In Simply Music, students learn to play the piano with the song’s pattern on the student’s fingers.  This way the focus is on learning by doing, and getting the hands on the keyboard, instead of trying to decipher the notes on a sheet of music. Studies show that attempting to both decode and play at the same time slows down the learning process. Once a more experienced player emerges, students are trained to read music and progress independently as a musician.  In addition to building a repertoire of music, lessons incorporate  music theory, singing, accompaniment, and the reading of sheet music.

In paired or group lessons, the shared learning environment provides a unique space where students work on songs together and are challenged and rewarded through games.  The result is a class experience that is fun, interactive, and performance-based. Additionally, shared lessons result in increased accountability and support: motivating the student to focus on his or her home practice.

Classes are weekly and 30 minutes long

In Voice lessons,  students are lead through a program called The Singer's Essentials Voice Program.

Here, students are exposed to a carefully curated variety of songs from contemporary, blues, country, jazz to Broadway and classical. Using distinguished pieces every singer should know and understand, students are guided through melodies in small, attainable segments. Students learn to deeply integrate and explore each piece of studied music so that they are truly able to express themselves while performing any song.  Lessons incorporate elements of music history, singing style, mic techniques, song recording, sight-reading, and vocal expression.

Certain songs, when completed, will be celebrated with a recording session.  Over time students will build their very own portfolio of recorded songs and a repertoire of performance pieces.

Classes are weekly and 30 minutes long.
